Warren Spahn 1948 National League Champion Boston Braves Contract
From the days of "Spahn and Sain and Pray for Rain" comes this official Warren Spahn contract from the 1948 season. It is signed by the general manager, John Quinn, but not the Hall of Fame pitcher, who went 15-12 for the Boston Braves that year, helping lead Boston's National League club to the World Series, where it would fall in six games to the Cleveland Indians. This document originates from Spahn's estate and is in EX condition minus a few folds. Spahn was a 20-game winner on 13 occasions, including a 23-win campaign when he was 42 years old.
