Wayne Gretzky Autographed 1999 Hespler Graphite Stick from Last Game In Edmonton
The rumors of Wayne's pending retirement took hold during his final visit to Edmonton on February 21, 1999. This graphite Hespeler CS Pro stick was used by Wayne during that match pitting his Rangers against the Edmonton Oilers at the Coliseum and comes with the game's ticket stub. The wood Hespeler blade is stamped "GRETZKY" and is wrapped in Wayne's distinctive black bulldog tape job. Wayne has added a bold "Wayne Gretzky 99, NYR 1999" signature above the blade tape. The shaft is marked with the factory coding "5S/220 2/220" and has the blue foam Jack The Gripper knob. Wayne used up to two dozen sticks during his final game in Edmonton and presented them to friends and VIP's. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity detailing the stick's provenance.
