Wayne Gretzky Edmonton Oilers circa 1979-80 Team Equipment Bag

Wayne Gretzky Edmonton Oilers circa 1979-80 Team Equipment Bag

Wayne Gretzky and the Edmonton Oilers both entered the National Hockey League in 1979, and the 19-year-old budding superstar won the first of his eight straight Hart Trophies winner that rookie season. Right around this time, Gretzky stashed his gear in this blue-and-copper, vintage nylon equipment bag that shows good use. His famous number 99 is screened on both sides, as is the team logo. The bag is in EX condition overall. "The Great One" made an immediate impact that first season in the NHL, tying Marcel Dionne with a league-best 137 points. He went on to become the greatest player the sport has ever seen, amazingly racking up more assists than any other player totaled points. Number 99 retired in 1999, and at the time he held 40 regular-season, 15 playoff and six All-Star records.
