William M. Gaines’ Chair from his MAD Magazine Office
The very chair sat in by William M. Gaines as the publisher of the greatest satire magazine ever created by mortal man. Black leather office chair is on its original castors with plenty of strength to roll around the large bearded body of one of the greatest geniuses in publishing history. Gaines also birthed the EC Comics craze that corrupted children of all ages for a brief but delightfully influential period. EX. Obtained from the 1992 Christie’s auction of the MAD Magazine Archives and comes with copy of the original auction catalogue.
