Willie Mays Personal Check
Mike Murphy was a very lucky man in 1994 when Willie Mays gave him this $24,000 check as a "gift." Of the handful of Willie Mays signed checks that came out some time ago, only three featured the Hall of Famer's picture on them, and this is one of them. Dated March 9, 1994, and signed "Willie Mays" in black ink, it was issued from Founders Bank of Arizona. It appears that the blue writing was done in an unknown hand, but the signature is definitely from Willie.
