"Wise Dan" Fourstardave Handicap Race Worn Horseshoe
Wise Dan transcended the sport, becoming the first turf specialist voted Horse-of-the-Year back-to-back. Not since the legendary John Henry has there been a more decorated turf horse. The only horse in history to capture Eclipse awards for Horse of the Year, Champion Older Horse, and Champion Turf Horse in consecutive years (2012, 2013). Offered is one of Wise Dan’s aluminum front horseshoes worn during his runaway 5-length win in the 2012 Fourstardave Handicap, his first of two wins in this historic race at Saratoga which today holds G1 status. Mounted onto a solid cherry plaque along with custom designed nameplate featuring his career highlights and statistics. Accompanied by LOA from Wise Dan’s veterinarian, who obtained it from the stable farrier.
