Woodstock by Bill Eppridge
Woodstock has come to define a generation, combining music, friendship, love and large amounts of illicit substances in a 3-day long expression of human emotion. These two photos taken by Bill Eppridge during the 1969 festival are candid shots of concert-goers. One 4.5x6" silver print shows the back of a shaggy-haired attendee leaning casually against an American flag backpack amidst a sea of people, and the second 6.5x9.5" silver print shows a soaking-wet young woman dressed in white being clutched tightly by a man amongst a number of other drenched individuals. Both photos contains various notes on the back, and one image was used in the September 3, 1969 issue of Life Magazine (pages 49-50). EX-MT condition for both.
