(2) Hector Lopez Game Used Bats
A nice pair from the New York Yankees reliable outfielder and pinch hitter. Both bats were used with the Yanks. The first, a 1959 Hillerich & Bradsby M110 (34.5”) shows extensive use and wear from his very first season with the Bronx Bombers, the same year he was traded from the KC Athletics. Slight splintering on the barrel. Handle is cracked, but held intact by vintage black grip tape. His number 11 painted in black on knob. The second, a 1960-64 H&B R43 (35”) was used during the Yanks’ 5-straight pennant winning stretch. Nice use with ball marks on the sweet spot. Grooves have been carved into the wood on the handle, most likely by Lopez himself, as a way to ensure a good grip. His number 11 painted in red on knob. To top it off he has placed a nice blue sharpie signature right under his stamped signature on the barrel.
