1800 Aaron Burr Signed Check (PSA GEM MT 10)

1800 Aaron Burr Signed Check (PSA GEM MT 10)

The third Vice President of the United States, Aaron Burr is a name known to most because of a 1804 duel with his political rival Alexander Hamilton, which Burr famously (or infamously) won but ultimately torpedoed his political career. This check from 1800 is dated just one year prior to Burr assuming the Vice Presidency under Thomas Jefferson. A squiggly line runs down the middle to signify "paid" and resembles the "don't tread on me" snake found on the Gadsden flag.
