1876 Centennial Handpainted Folk Art Base Ball Bat
Patriotic paint on this beauty is all original in red, white and blue, with 16 stars spiraling the handle. This looks like it was a parade bat and may have been used for the 1876 Centennial, or could be later such as late 19th century. Either way this is a one-of-a-kind folk art piece and is in gorgeous condition. Shows good age with a rich patina and cracks in the paint from decades of time, measures 33" long and stands as an important piece of early folk art.
