1880s Sporting Girls Folding Album By W. Duke Sons & Co.
In the 1880s, women glowed; they didn't sweat. The sweatbuckets were the guys who sent away for this cheesecake foldout disguised as "Sporting Girls." Coy advertising 1880s vehicle for Duke Cigarettes features Victorian types with tiny waists and big bosom and thighs in various sporting get-ups, from huntress to fencer to jockey. Stunningly preserved color original cardboard (MINT) unfurls into five 6 x 9" paintings meant to arouse men's yearning for tobacco and other pleasures. The cover features a less suggestive model with all kinds of sporting equipment and an explanation how one can obtain this collection.
