1880s Trio of Articulated Sports Figures in Composition - Baseball, Football & Boxing
Each of these 1880s figures is something we have never seen, let alone a set of three. Each figure is made of composition and handpainted with articulated action, swinging arms, with one from the period of flat top baseball caps and handlebar moustaches. A Yale football player is in collegiate sweater with a "Y" and football in the nook of his arm in another. The third figure is an early boxer. All sit on wooden bases, and have wonderfully detailed facial features and expressions. Each figure measures 5.5" and condition is Excellent.
