Fabulous quality invitation for the May 24, 1883, opening of the Brooklyn Bridge printed by Tiffany & Co. Features a steel engraving of John & then Washington Roebling's legendary achievement. Ceremony for the iconic bridge was attended by President Chester A. Arthur and was as a famous an event as there was during this era (some soiling and water damage). Comes with extremely rare: 1) untorn/unpunched ticket to the event. 2) 1882 note signed by Bridge trustee CC Martin allowing "Approach on the New York side." 3) Ticket to a reception at the Academy of Music on Opening Day (overall EX).
