From the boys of the 1887 Chicago Baseball Club, a token of gratitude to player and friend Thomas E. Burns. This gold medal locket with front engraving features a small player catching a pearl baseball and reads "Chicago Base Ball Club 1887" around the edges. Fully inscribed, the back reads "Presented to: Our Popular 3rd Base Man Thom. E. Burns by his Chicago Friends, Chicago, Oct. 28th, '87". Presented to Burns the same year the beloved White Sox were ranked 3rd in the National League.
