1887 Old Judge Collection of (26) SGC cards
One of the most unique and enjoyable 19th Century issues, the Old Judge Series has virtually an endless array of poses and variations and previously unknown varieties continue to be reported more than 115 years after being produced. Most of the Old Judge cards have been lost or destroyed over the years, and even those that have been saved; many have been glued into albums, trimmed to fit in picture frames, or otherwise altered or damaged. Known for their distinctive toning and image quality, the Old Judge issue is still one of the most popular pre war sports collectibles.
