1888 N173 Dan Brouthers Old Judge Cabinet Card
Beautiful card from this hallowed series of cabinet photographs gum baseball cards. Only available as premiums, the Old Judge Cabinets took a lot of cigarettes to smoke and increased the danger of lung cancer. People literally gave their lives for these cards. This is of preeminent Hall of Famer Dan Brouthers, one of the best of his era. This is A1 condition for this issue. Mount grades a strong EX+ with very strong photographic image. This is fresh to our coffers, having rested in an old-time baseball collection for more years than they would like to admit. Its only defect is a tiny tear to the photo that occurred at the factory and has been laid down by them onto the mount.
