1889 E.R. Williams Baseball Anson/Ewing SGC 84 NM 7 (1 of 1)
Presented here is the key card to the 1889 E.R. Williams Baseball Set. This card of Anson/Ewing is the only example to be graded SGC 84 NM 7 and there are no cards higher. This difficult set of 52 playing cards came packed in its own box which advertised the set as "Egerton R. Williams Popular Indoor Base Ball Game". Although the set contains 52 cards, only 19 feature color drawings of players, with each card picturing 2 different players. The cards have green-tinted backs and measure 2-7/16 x 3-1/2". This particular example is in tremendous condition with only the slightest of surface impressions at the top border. A finer example is nowhere to be found.
