1890's Metal Football Advertising Sign (12x15")
Fascinating 19th century metal sign was used to advertise a shoe store. It reads, “Sole Agency Knock-A-Bout, The Best Shoe For Boys.” Best is the young boy playing football at center. Note the early uniform that he is wearing with no helmet. Sign is in fabulous condition and the red & black paint on the lettering is remarkably unaffected. Only some slight dings with relatively little tarnishing. EX.
