1890s Harvard Majolica Football Humidor
This is the first we have offered of this incredibly rare and beautiful Harvard figural football humidor. Measures 7.5" x 6.5" tall with bow handle that would be easily damaged (this is mint!). Bottom of the football has a round embossed seal similar to the A.G. Spalding logo of the time. Instead, the initials "RS", likely Reinhold Schlegelmilch, the incredible quality German porcelain manufacturer of the time. Absolutely no chips, cracks or restoration. From a killer collection fresh to the market. Majolia, a leaded earthenware originated by Minton, was the rage at the turn of the century.
