1892 George Dixon vs. Jack Skelly Full Ticket
On September 6,1892 at the Olympic Club in New Orleans, World Featherweight Champion George Dixon met Jack Skelly for the Featherweight Title. This was part of a championship week show which culminated with the famous Sullivan-Corbett fight. Dixon won the bout by KO in the 8th round. Presented here is a rare, original, full, unused ticket to the bout, shaped as a parallelogram and measuring 3" x 4 1/4". There is some edge and corner wear with no creases. The color and printing is strong. Ticket has some staining and is glued on board. Very seldom seen in any condition.
