1892 John L. Sullivan vs. James J. Corbett Collection (3)
On September 7, 1892 in New Orleans James J. Corbett defeated John L. Sullivan in the first gloved World heavyweight Championship fight. Offered here are three outstanding artifacts from this historic event. Two are official tickets to the fight. The first is the more common 3.25x4.25" version (VG). The second is the rarer, smaller version measuring 1.75x3.75" (Fair). Also included is a 40 page soft cover booklet which recaps the fight and indicates each blow landed by the fighters.
