1892 John L. Sullivan vs. James J. Corbett Full Ticket PSA VG-EX 4
On September 7, 1892, at the Olympic Club in New Orleans, World Heavyweight Champion John L. Sullivan defended his title against Gentleman Jim Corbett in what is generally considered to have been the first gloved heavyweight championship. Corbett proved too fast for the aging Sullivan and stopped the champ in the 21st round to win the title. Offered here is a fine example of a full ticket to this notable event. The ticket names both fighters along with the event's date and time. Scarce ticket has been graded and encapsulated Full VG-EX 4; Pop 6 example with only one (1) higher.
