1892 Pudge Heffelfinger Cabinet Card
Here's a rare photograph of the first professional football player, as this circa 1890 standard size cabinet photograph was taken when Pudge Heffelfinger was attending Yale University. The photo is by the exceptional quality photographer's studio Pach Bros., located at 935 Broadway in N.Y. On the reverse "Heffelfinger" and "92" are written in pencil. This high quality image - the only one known of its kind - is technically VG due to a few spots and a very small abrasion on the front.
