1894 Victorian Bisque Footballer (German)
Footballer bisque figurine was made in Germany by Erphilia stamped and incised with their trademark and the 1894 date. Germany is known for having produced the finest in porcelain figurines and bisque dolls from the 19th and 20th centuries, and this example is one of the best we've seen. In mint condition and measures 5.5" high. The majority of the early German figurines were made for export to America, so it is not unusual to have an American sports theme.
