1895 Kid Nichols Mayo Tobacco Card
Rare 1895 Mayo's Cut Plug Tobacco card number 36 featuring Boston pitcher Charles Augustus "Kid" Nichols, Cy Young's greatest rival during the decade of the 1890s. Nichols won 361 games, the seventh- highest total in major league history, and is the youngest pitcher to win 300 games, reaching that milestone at the age of 32. Measuring approximately 1 1/2 x 3", this 19th century card has clear sepia tones and no visible creasing, although the corners show slight rounding. SCG graded 50/4 VG/EX, this card is a beauty.
