1896 N301 Mayo's Cut Plug Die-Cuts Baseball Game Board
Wonderfully quaint baseball board game is the match for the Mayo's die-cut baseball cards, which were meant to be inserted into the slots here on the board. The cards were generic, with 14 cards for each of two sides, representing teams called Boston and New York. Issued by Mayo's Cut Plug Tobacco, the game board (8x15.5") illustrates a baseball diamond and contains killer advertising for this baseball card relevant brand. Most important, the board is at least 100 times rarer than the cards themselves. Only a handful of the boards are known.
