1897 Corbett vs. Fitzsimmons Commemorative Fight Straight Razor
Unusual 1897 Gentleman Jim Corbett vs. Bob Fitzsimmons commemorative fight straight razor. The fight occurred in Carson City, NV on March, 17th 1897 with the result being a KO of Corbett by Fitzsimmons in the 14th round. The razor is marked Magnetic Steel on its tang with an ornate blade having an engraving which reads Corbett and Fitzsimmons with two boxers in the midst of punching. The blade fits nicely into its attached scale and measures 9 3/4" open and 6" closed. Overall condition is very good with the blade having a miniscule nick near the end of the blade but no other chips, nicks, or cracks. The handle shows usage wear with some moderate chipping from repeated opening and closing. Blade is dull while the engraving is crisp and clear.
