1897 Corbett vs. Fitzsimmons Display Box
Vintage 1897 Jim Corbett vs. Bob Fitzsimmons display box used for in-store display of wire made by the Russell Fraser company. Resembling an oversized cigar box, the wood piece measures 15x13.5x3" with an image of both early gloved pugilists squaring off, surrounded by ad copy. Lid has become detached but hinges and fastener are still present, some chipping and water staining at the edges only add nice touches to this unusual artifact.
