1897 Lithopane Pewter Football Mug
This is one of the most interesting football pieces you will ever see. A pewter tankard with glass bottom is engraved on the front, "H.U.F.B.A Class Championship 1897 Won By Ninety Nine G.W. Thompson Q.B." Wondrously, when you look through the glass bottom, you see a perfect image of the team itself in sumptuous detail. Glass bottom tankards were created so men in pubs (heroes and villains alike) could see their enemies if they approached while their mugs were tipped.
