1899-1900 Figural Baseball Trophy (11" tall)
Gorgeous gleaming prize is stamped, "Derby Silver Quadruple Plate" on the bottom, making it even more attractive than its aes-thetic beauty would suggest. And there's no shortage of that-check out the detail, the wonderful letter-ing reading, "The Charles Marks Trophy, Indoor Baseball League, 1899-1900." Funny, Mom used to scream at us when we played ball indoors… Figural bats at the base are pure turn-of-the-century design. One of the prettiest lots in this auction, and in terrific NRMT condition as well.
