Official Spalding scorebooks from the earliest days of the Pittsburgh Pirates franchise: 1899 Pittsburgh Alleghanies baseball club - this team joined the National League in 1887 and later evolved into the Pirates. Each book, bound with black hardcovers, contain the official scorecards filled out in pencil for each game of the season.
