1900 Yale vs. Columbia Freshman Basketball Ticket
The Ivy League is such an old college athletics conference, the members are casually known as the "Ancient Eight." And speaking of ancient, feast your eyes on this ticket from one of the earliest basketball games that predates both Columbia's and Yale's archives. The game represented by this stub is actually a freshman match, won by the Bulldogs, 16-1, as is written in black ink. Also interesting to note that the game was played on March 30, 1900, as today's Ivy schedules culminate in early March. There is some fading on the back, but otherwise, this item is in EX condition, especially considering its age.
