1901 Harvard-Yale Night Football Program & Unused Ticket
This ticket and program are from Keith's Theater in Boston, from the show that took place the same day as the infamous Harvard-Yale game of 1901, Nov. 23. The game that year was the penultimate game of the 1901 season. Both Ivy League varsities came in undefeated and the Bulldogs walked out 22-0 winners capping a perfect 12-0 season. The program - which contains the lyrics to Harvard fight songs "On To Victory" and "Down With Yale" - and ticket are from what is easily considered the best of the Vaudeville circuit. This lot is truly a piece of sports and American theater history together. Both the ticket and program are EX - the program has some water marks and run ink.
