1902 Joe Gans Cabinet Card Photograph
Rare pose of Middleweight Champ Joe Gans on this 1902 cabinet card. The boxer is in stance without gloves in this 4.25x6" prize. Some staining does not at all detract from the presentation. Pencil writing on verso lists the year and identifies Gans along with his championship, which he held from 1902-08, reigning as the first Black champion of the 20th century.
