Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig is pictured here receiving a watch from the father of American musical comedy, George M. Cohan, between games of a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium on August 3, 1937. The gift commemorated The Iron Horse's 1936 MVP award, and on this day, Gehrig played in his 1,900th consecutive game as he was establishing that record. The 7x9" photo carries the Brown Brothers mark on the back, as well as a more detailed caption of the event. There is minor creasing, PSA encapsulated.
