1902 Wright & Ditson Leather Football Helmet
Spectacular and ultra-rare specimen is one of the very earliest commercially made pieces of gridiron head-gear. Note the rare "bowl" shape of the crown, and the fine "Wright & Ditson" stamping above each earflap. Patent stamp sets the date. Condition is splendid, with only the expected wear of age and no tearing or staining. Even the original chin strap is here!
