1907 Al Smith "Gave Us Sunday Baseball" Pinback
Extremely rare celluloid is the first we have seen. Babe Ruth's man too for the 1928 Presidential election (sadly they were not ready for an Irish Catholic). In 1907 NY Democrats introduced two bills to legislate Sunday baseball. State Assemblyman Al Smith spoke out against the blue law arguing it was better for young men to be playing baseball on a Sunday rather than to "be driven to places where they play 'Waltz Around Me Again, Willie.'" Perish the thought! EX-MT condition, measures 7/8".
