1907 Tigers and Cubs World Series Postcards (3)

1907 Tigers and Cubs World Series Postcards (3)

It's hard to believe that the Chicago Cubs were once a dynasty. Back in 1907, Chicago's National League team swept the Tigers for the first of their two straight World Series titles. Here's an intriguing trio of postcards from that fall, two of which were quite morbid and sold at the Series: one showing a bear cub in a casket and the other a Tiger in a casket. Both are VG and unposted. The third is from the Tigers' 1907 season and has a rendering of a woman fan holding a "Season 1907" pennant alongside a tiger with the wording "Rah for the Tigers" at the bottom. It is in Good condition, has writing and is postmarked 1910 on the verso.
