1908 Roger Bresnahan Original Glass Plate Negative
Original glass plate negative of catcher Roger Bresnahan as a member of the New York Giants. Taken at the Polo Grounds, Bresnahan is pictured on the sideline in full catcher's gear as he warms up a pitcher prior to a game. "Bresnahan" is written on the negative along the left border. Although no year is listed, based upon the uniform style and Bresnahan's tenure with the Giants, this photo conclusively dates to 1908, which was his last season with the club. The negative (7x5") displays a small area of emulsion loss along the top border and a slight scratch to the right of Bresnahan's image. In Very Good condition overall.
