1908 "The Unmasking of Robert-Houdin" Signed by Harry Houdini (PSA)

1908 "The Unmasking of Robert-Houdin" Signed by Harry Houdini (PSA)

1908 edition of The Unmasking of Robert-Houdin, by Harry Houdini, signed by Houdini on the front flyleaf. The famed magician/escape artist has inscribed the page "To Abe Jacobs/with compliments/of the author/Harry Houdini/July 19 - 1908." Both the inscription and signature have been boldly scripted in black fountain pen and grade 10/10. As Houdini relates in his introduction, the French magician Robert-Houdin was his idol growing up. Unfortunately, Houdini's later research uncovered that Rober-Houdin was in fact a fraud, taking credit for the work of others. This book reveals all of Houdin's deceptions and lies regarding his career and stage magic, and properly credits the rightful individuals. The hardcover book (The Publishers Printing Co., New York, 1908) displays moderate wear to the cloth boards (no dustjacket) and is in Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA.
