1909-10 U of Alabama Football Letterman's Sweater w/Vintage Photo Documentation
Roll with the Tide! This vintage V-neck sweater was worn in 1909 by player and assistant coach Clan Countess, who played for the University of Alabama and later became a respected attorney in the area. The garment has some minor holes and fraying, as well as a little red/pink staining that is barely noticeable. There is a large letter "A" on the front with four red stars below. The lot includes a matted team photo that measures 7.5x5" and a commencement program (measuring roughly 5x6"), both of which are in VG condition. The photo shows Countess at the top center wearing a similar sweater.
