1-2) 1909 Opening day Swayne field Toledo, Ohio with "Charlie Hickman's home run" and "Pitcher Owen delivering the first ball." Swayne Field - minor league park from 1909 to 1955 AND home of the Toledo Maroons of the NFL (1923). The minor league team in Toledo was known as the Mud Hens. Remember how Klinger, from the TV show "Mash," wore a Mud Hen's hat and was their biggest fan? Nice postcards from Shawyne Field's very first game.
