1910-1912 Sweet Caporal P2 Pins Near Set (204/205)
The American Tobacco Company, also the manufacturer of the popular T205 Gold Border tobacco cards, issued this series of baseball pins circa 1910-12. Set is near complete at 204/205 pins, lacking just the Cy Young large letters variation. This issue offers great player selection. Includes HOFer’s Cobb, Johnson, Young, Mathewson, Speaker, Tinker, Evers, Chance, Huggins, Clarke, Bender, Wheat, etc. 10 pins are missing the Sweet Caporal advertising on verso. Grades 20% NRMT, 65% EX to EX-MT, 10% lesser. Total of 153 pins with “small letters” and 51 pins with “large letters”. 204 P2 Sweet Caporal pins total. One more and you’ll have a full set of an early difficult pin issue to complete.
