1910s-20s Vintage Baseball Photograph Collection from NY Sports Editor Assistant (50+)
Over 50 photographs originating from a New York sports editor assistant are up for grabs. Amazing shots, with some by Charles Conlon, depicting early baseball, include: Rogers Hornsby (by Charles Conlon), Chief Meyers, Ray Schalk, Urban Shocker, Jim Bottomley, Johnny Evers, Benny Bengough, Happy Felsch, Roger Peckinpaugh, Earle Combs, Everett Scott, Herb Pennock, Bob Meusel, George Pipgras, Pat Collins, Mark Koenig and more. Some are stamped with dates as early as 1913. Sizes range from 6x8" to 8x10", with mild creasing and paper loss on some and some have pinholes, but overall average VG+ condition. Handwritten marking from editors is on back, and photos are stamped on back from Underwood & Underwood, ACME News Pictures, Greeley Photo Services, P & A Photos and more. Some scintillating early baseball images from the top pro photographers of their day.
