1911 Grover Cleveland Alexander Rookie Photograph from "The Ring"
Dating from the Major League hurler's debut season with the Philadelphia Nationals, this 5x7" image shows Alexander in Philadelphia sweater and cap walking from the field with photographers in background. "The Ring, Inc." plate is covering a Paul Thompson stamp on verso. Pencil writing on back says "Alexander Phila Natl" and is in the hand of the original studio. Some of the most amazing baseball photos came from The Ring. This is an amazing early photo of the HOFer with some edge creasing o/w Excellent condition.
