1911 Philadelphia Athletics World's Champions Plate
The 1911 Philadelphia Athletics won a major league-best 101 games and outclassed the New York Giants in six games to win the World Series. From that championship season comes this very nice commemorative plate featuring the entire team on an elephant with legendary manager Connie Mack in the driver's seat. Among the heroes depicted are Hall of Famers Eddie Collins, Eddie Plank and Home Run Baker. Most of these plates we see have much more wear than this one. There is some crazing, but the gold leaf around the rim is still beautiful. EX condition.
