1911 Philadelphia Athletics World Champions Plate
The Philadelphia Athletics ran away from the pack in 1911, winning 101 games and dropping only 50. This commemorative plate by the Cook Pottery Company boasts photos of the entire championship team including legendary skipper Connie Mack and notable players such as Eddie Plank, Chief Bender, Amos Strunk, Harry Davis, Jack Barry, Frank Baker, and more. There is some wear from use and some toning but no cracks or chips. Actually, it is one of the better-conditioned specimens we have seen. VG condition overall.
