1913-15 M113 Baseball Magazine Premiums with Joe Jackson
This is a quartet of Baseball Magazine premiums from 1913-15, designated as M113 Premiums. This lefty-hitting foursome of Joe Jackson, Sam Crawford, Tris Speaker and Harry Hooper would be the heart of any batting order, never needing a right handed bat for separation. Issued between 1913-15 the M113 premiums were distributed by Baseball Magazine, the premiere baseball publication of the day. These sepia-toned images are all approximately 9x17", appearing not to be trimmed - as was the custom for these large poster-type photos. Each premium has handwritten in ink the year (not necessarily the year of issue), team and league designation. Includes: 1) 1913 Joe Jackson - crisp Cleveland image, light stain upper right, larger dark stain along bottom edge in non-vintage frame. 2) 1913 Sam Crawford - crisp image, light edge foxing in vintage frame. 3) 1915 Tris Speaker - moderate staining in three corners. 4) 1915 Harry Hooper - moderate staining, edge warping, in vintage frame. Very nice grouping of these rarely seen early premiums.
