1913 Clothiers Book With Walter Johnson, Cheif Bender, Ed Walsh & Russ Ford Display Pages
Offered here is a HUGE (20" x 22") "King Pin Brand" clothiers book from 1913 featuring great baseball players on heavy cardboard. Used to order clothing in stores, this book features arts & crafts style illustration are in the style of Leyendecker. Several of the book's pages stand as magnificent individual display pieces showcasing professional ballplayers' endorsement of King Pin's goods. Page 39 features Walter Johnson and still bears its original quintet of samples. Ed Walsh can be seen on page 35. "Perfect Control" is talked about on page 37 - depicting Chief Bender - and page 41 pairs Russ Ford and discussion of King Pin's "Variety Versatility." Just missing the swatches and a few loose pages, but this magnificent album is in EX condition.
