The 1913 Philadelphia Athletics captured their third World Series crown in four years, beating the New York Giants in five games. This program is distinguished by lovely cover art by Joseph Cummings Chase of John "Muggsy" McGraw shaking hands with the Philadelphia's Connie Mack. At the managers' feet is the wording that could serve as a caption for Mack as it reads: "CONGRATULATIONS JOHN! FIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TEN YEARS!" The 28-page book - which is now 100 years old - is unscored and has some vertical folds, but otherwise is in VG condition. There are photos and terrific old advertisements inside.
